Edward Wilson (Matt Damon) enters the mysterious world of clandestine operations. He becomes a member of the CIA after his acute mind; spotless reputation and sincere belief in American values render him a perfect candidate for a career in intelligence. After Yale and becoming a member of the Skull and Bones fraternity he mixes with future prominent and world leaders. He is later trained by the British while a member of the OSS and eventually is one of the original members of the CIA when it is formed. Edward is a quiet American whose job of keep the United States safe from attacks his top priority. However everything turns on its head when he has to choose between the Agency or his family.
